OnePlus One gets Android Marshmallow
OnePlus has left Cyanogen behind about a year ago, introducing its own mobile operating system based on Android in the meantime. However, the OnePlus One flagship killer that shipped loaded with CyanogenMod continues to receive firmware updates on a regular basis. Now, the time has come for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based CyanogenMod 13.0.
According to OnePlus, the CM 13.0 (ZNH0EAS26M) firmware began its rollout last Friday. The features includes are the usual Marshmallow goodies - Google Now on Tap, Doze mode, granular permissions, multiple visual enhancements, fixes, tweaks, as well as the latest security updates. In the official CM 13.0 release notes, Cyanogen also mentioned a new SMS/MMS application, Snap Camera app (only available for some devices), a new Cyanogen Apps pack, as well as the removal of the ability to swap System Profiles in the Power menu.
Since the update rolls out in stages as usual, those who did not get the notification yet and are in a hurry should check for it manually.
