OxygenOS 3.0 for OnePlus 2 coming soon

OnePlus 2 flagship killer to get OxygenOS 3.0 soon
OnePlus 2
Less than a month after receiving OxygenOS 2.2.1, OnePlus 2 is very close to the Marshmallow-based OxygenOS 3.0 update.

OnePlus 2 received OxygenOS 2.2.1 earlier this month, but that was only a minor update, although it arrived with a few useful features, such as RAW support in the Camera app and the monthly security patch. Now, OnePlus apparently has begun testing the Marshmallow-based update that will come out as OxygenOS 3.0.

OxygenOS 3.0 is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and OnePlus added its personal touches to it, as usual. These include new wallpapers, home screen customizations, as well as a slider for alerts. In addition to these, the update will obviously carry all the goodies packed by Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow - Google Now on Tap, Doze battery managements, new emojis, Do Not Disturb mode, customizable app permisions, as well as many tweaks and fixes.

Only a few OnePlus 2 users received the update so far, and it seems like OnePlus is soak testing it for now and, if everything goes well, everyone should get OxygenOS 3.0 soon. We will get back to it once that happens, so stay tuned.
