One-netbook releases another version of the ONEXPLAYER with a powerful AMD Ryzen APU
The ONEXPLAYER is now available in a new version, albeit one in which One-netbook already sells the ONEXPLAYER mini. Specifically, the former now comes with the AMD Ryzen 7 5800U, a minor upgrade over the Ryzen 7 5700U that was previously configurable for the handheld games console. For reference, the Ryzen 7 5800U has slightly higher CPU clock speeds than the Ryzen 7 5700U, along with 16 MB of L3 cache, double the amount that the Ryzen 7 5700U has.
Also, the Ryzen 7 5800U has Zen 3 cores (Cezanne U), not Zen 2 like the Ryzen 7 5700U does. While the pair share Radeon RX Vega 8 iGPUs, the Ryzen 7 5800U outscores the Ryzen 7 5700U by about 6% in our tests. Similarly, the newer RX Vega 8 (Ryzen 5000) iGPU should deliver 10% better FPS in games than the RX Vega 8 (Ryzen 4000).
Currently, One-netbook allows people to configure the Ryzen 7 5800U model with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB or 2 TB of storage. According to the company's database, the 16 GB/1 TB model starts at US$1,449 and rises to US$1,537 if you include a case and a magnetic keyboard. In comparison, the 16 GB/2 TB edition costs between US$1,629-US$1,717, depending on which bundle you choose. All configurations feature the same 8.4-inch IPS display (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) and 15,300 mAh battery as other ONEXPLAYERs.
