Ever since its debut on the Galaxy S20 series, Samsung's One UI 2.1 firmware has made its way to the plethora of devices, including Galaxy S10 and Note 10 phones. Galaxy S9 and Note 9 owners will receive it sometime in June too. In the meanwhile, Samsung is rolling the software out to Galaxy A51 users in several countries.
Apart from the hardware-bound features such as the 120Hz refresh rate mode, the One UI 2.1 update for the Galaxy A51 also skips a few other features. A lot of the camera-specific features such as Single Take Mode, Pro Video Mode, Night Hyper Lapse Mode, My Filters, and Selfie Tone have not been included in the update along with AR Zone and Live Caption. It is quite puzzling as to why Samsung cut these features from the release, as the Galaxy A51's hardware is quite capable of handling them. At the very least, the phone gets Quick Share and Music share, facilitating seamless transfer of music and data between eligible Samsung devices.
The One UI 2.1 update for the Galaxy A51 is bundled with the April 2020 security patch and is about 1.26GB in size. Depending on your location and carrier preference, it'll take up to a week for you to get the update. Alternatively, you can try and sideload it via a PC/Mac using Samsung Smart Switch.
