Official: Honor confirms battery upgrade and early release for new foldable

Over the weekend, Honor revealed the Magic V6 globally. The first foldable to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the Magic V6 also features a larger battery than its predecessor, among other upgrades. Unfortunately, it will not be available globally anytime soon. Please see our launch articles for more details about availability and hardware specifications.
As it stands, Honor has only teased that it will be replacing the Magic V5 globally during the second half of the year (curr. $1,560 on Amazon). By contrast, the company indicated that the Magic V6 would be landing in China this month. Now, it has clarified that this Chinese release will occur on March 10.
Not only that, but it has confirmed that the Chinese variant will ship with a larger battery than its global counterpart. As the image below shows, the Magic V6 will feature a 7,150 mAh battery rather than the 6,600 mAh combined capacity in its global sibling. Based on recent leaks, the Magic V6 will feature a 6,850 mAh combined capacity for some SKUs in China, though.
