OPPO A3s details surface online, a 6.2-inch notched display included
An exclusive report by MySmartPrice News that contains all the OPPO A3s details — including a collection of what seem to be official images — has just been published and looks quite intriguing. Although some specs like the micro USB 2.0 port are quite outdated, the upcoming OPPO A3s can draw the attention of those around with its 6.2-inch notched display and the two color options that are Dark Purple and Red.
Unfortunately, the handset itself is a rather slow mid-range phablet with a low resolution of only 1,280 x 720 pixels, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage and microSD support, as well as Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS 5.1 on top. One strong selling point of the OPPO A3s is the 4,230 mAh battery that promises to easily deliver an entire day of autonomy even for watching videos online or gaming.
The dual camera setup on the back combines a 13 MP sensor and one that only has 2 MP, but they are enough to provide decent bokeh effects. The selfie shooter has 8 MP and a fixed focal length, providing Face Unlock capabilities which can be quite useful since this phablet lacks a fingerprint reader.
In addition to all the above, we should also mention dual SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The launch date is not public yet, but we will get back to this handset as soon as it becomes official. Hopefully, this Android phablet will get out of China, since the closely-related OPPO A5 is apparently not available anywhere else via the official channels.
