Nvidia has dropped heavy hints that it will be showcasing next-generation graphics cards in a few weeks' time. As it stands, at least the GeForce RTX 5080 and GeForce RTX 5090 are expected to debut during CES 2025 between January 7 and January 10. However, there is a chance that the GeForce RTX 5070 or GeForce RTX 5070 Ti could also be in attendance.
By contrast, Nvidia is believed to be holding back the GeForce RTX 5060 and GeForce RTX 5060 Ti until Q2 2025. Nonetheless, Wccftech claims to have obtained information about both cards and how Nvidia may advertise them. Specifically, the website reports that the pair will feature the following hardware:
GeForce RTX 5060 | GeForce RTX 5060 Ti | |
---|---|---|
GPU | Blackwell GB206 (PG152) | Blackwell GB206 (PG152) |
VRAM capacity | 8 GB GDDR7 | 16 GB GDDR7 |
VRAM bus | 128-bit | 128-bit |
VRAM speedGPU | 28 Gbps | 28 Gbps |
VRAM bandwidth | 448 GB/s | 448 GB/s |
Power interface | 1x 12VHPWR | 1x 12VHPWR |
Currently, Wccftech believes that Nvidia will sell the GeForce RTX 5060 as a 1080p card, principally because it has the same VRAM capacity as the GeForce RTX 4060 (curr. $299.99 on Amazon). By contrast, the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti should be a 1440p card first, although doubtless with the help of Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) in some triple-A games.
