Deal | Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti drops to $680

Announced in late September 2022, the GeForce 40 series started to arrive one month later, when the RTX 4090 made its debut. In November, the RTX 4080 followed. The RTX 4070 Ti dropped in the first week of 2023, with a launch price of $799. One year later, the RTX 4070 Ti Super has landed carrying the same price tag. Now, as the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is no longer being manufactured, it has finally fallen below the $700 threshold.

On Amazon, the MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Ventus 2X is available in white or black. In both cases, the price goes down to $679.99 thanks to discounts combined with coupons. This card is a factory overclocked variant with a GPU clock speed of 2655 MHz, slightly higher than the 2610 MHz of the reference design.

MSI's RTX 4070 Ti video cards mentioned above can also be found on Newegg US, where the white version goes for $679.99 and its black sibling is $10 more expensive.

Released in mid-January 2024 with a $599 price tag, the RTX 4070 Super is marginally slower than the RTX 4070 Ti and provides a better frame-per-dollar ratio. Taking this into account, it is easy to conclude that the RTX 4070 Super is still the smarter choice for most users. Last but not least, less demanding gamers could simply forget about buying a dGPU and go for Nvidia's GeForce Now cloud gaming service instead.
