Nova Launcher 5.0 now available

Nova Launcher is one of the oldest third-party launchers for Android, as well as one of the most popular ones. Version 5.0 has just arrived and, in addition to the new features it brings, it also arrives to celebrate the fifth anniversary of this well-known piece of code.

Yesterday, Cliff Wade unveiled the new features of the new release on his Google+ account. He mentioned quite a few of them, including a new Pixel-style search bar, new double-tap-swipe gestures, Pixel Launcher-style swipe to open the drawer, Android 7.1 launcher shortcuts, quick start for easy change of major settings, a new screen lock method, and more.

Nova Launcher is freely available for download on Google Play, where over 900,000 users have rated it so far. The current rating stands at 4.6 out of 5, with more than 10 million installs. Those who need more can also get the Nova Launcher Prime app to unlock a few additional features for $4.99 USD.
