Mario Kart, with its numerous entries, is one of the world’s most successful gaming series. Over 100 million copies of the games have been sold since Super Mario Kart was released on the SNES in 1992. Now Nintendo is finally testing a mobile version of the game for Android and iOS that will be called Mario Kart Tour. The title was originally announced back in January 2018.
It’s possible to sign up to be a beta tester for Mario Kart Tour as long as you fulfill Nintendo’s prerequisites. The closed beta test is for Android, but it’s important to note that not all Android devices will be included. Japan and the US are the supported countries, and the deadline for applying is May 7 at 7:59 PM (Pacific Time). The actual beta test phase is expected to run from May 22 to June 4, although the dates might get changed.
Obviously, this is going to be an incredible opportunity for the millions of Mario Kart fans out there to see how the game will play, look, and feel on a mobile platform, which in this case will be Android. Nintendo expects a lot of applications and only has a limited number of spaces, so beta testers will be chosen at random if necessary. Details for the Mario Kart Tour closed beta test can be found via QR code here.
