New Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 leak reveals more renders and specifications; new release date mooted
Last week, Evan Blass published renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, Samsung's foldable smartphones for this year. The renders matched designs seen in leaked marketing videos, which have since been scrubbed from the internet. Now, Giznext has published multiple renders, all seemingly marketing assets.
According to Giznext, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 25:9 aspect ratio. Samsung has apparently complemented the 120 Hz main panel with a 1.9-inch cover display, flanked by two cameras. A front-facing camera can clearly be seen hiding behind the main display though, making an under-panel camera (UPC) seem unlikely.
Giznext's renders also show the Galaxy Z Flip 3 in four colours, far more than Samsung offers for the Galaxy Z Flip 5G. As the photos show below, these colours are:
- Beige
- Black
- Dark green
- Light purple
However, past leaks suggest that Samsung could release the device in up to eight colours. Incidentally, South Korean media claims that August 3 is not the date for Samsung's next Galaxy Unpacked event. Instead, the event will occur in the second week of August. Specifically, @FrontTron states that the Galaxy Unpacked event will happen on August 11. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is not the only device due to debut in August, though. Supposedly, Samsung plans to reveal the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Watch 4, too.
