3D Mark scores of the GeForce RTX 5090 have leaked online. Overall, the graphics card offers a decent performance uplift over its last-gen counterpart.

Nvidia's first-party gaming benchmarks say the GeForce RTX 5090 could be around 30% faster than the GeForce RTX 4090 in raw performance. This is apparent in Cyberpunk 2077, where the Blackwell flagship requires DLSS to achieve playable frame rates with Path Tracing enabled. Synthetic benchmarks of the graphics card have shown up ahead of its launch via Videocardz

  • 3D Mark Speed Way (1440p): 14,383
  • 3D Mark Steel Nomad (4K): 14,133
  • 3D Mark Port Royal (1440p): 36,673
  • 3D Mark Time Spy (1440p): 48,732
  • 3D Mark Time Spy Extreme (4K):25,485
  • 3D Mark Fire Strike (1080p): 101,767
  • 3D Mark Fire Strike Extreme (1440p): 60,778
  • 3D Mark Fire Strike Ultra (4K): 33,114

This suggests the GeForce RTX 5090 is anywhere between 30-46% faster than the RTX 4090; more or less in line with its expected performance uplift. Of course, there are other variables that are at play here, such as CPU and RAM, but the above benchmarks should give us a decent idea about the graphics card's performance with high-end CPUs from Intel and AMD.

While the above results not carry over to every game, the GeForce RTX 5090 will easily be the fastest desktop graphics card money can buy for the foreseeable future. AMD's Radeon RX 9070 XT, and even its UDNA-based successors, will not be able to trounce it; neither will any Intel Battlemage or Celestial SKU.
