New Asus Zenfone 6 leak hints towards a nigh-perfect flagship
Asus is set to release its next flagship, the Asus Zenfone 6, this month, and more and more leaks have started surfacing over the past few weeks. The latest tells us more than ever before.
The leak showcases what appears to be a dummy of the Zenfone 6, and lets us in on some of the basic specifications of the device. For one, the device has little to no bezels. There's also no notch, which is a very much welcome design choice. In place of either, there's a manual slider, like with Xiaomi's Mi Mix 3.
Housed within the slider is a dual selfie camera—apparently a main sensor and a wide angle one. At the back of the device is a dual camera setup, a tad underwhelming in the current age of quad camera systems. There looks to be a traditional capacitive fingerprint reader at the back of the phone, which is nice, since in-display readers still perform considerably worse.
Sliding the phone up reveals a forward firing speaker grill, which is said to be tuned by Harman Kardon. Oh, and there's a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom of the phone.
The Zenfone 6 looks to have few to no weaknesses. Previous Zenfone phones have delivered competitive cameras, and we expect the Zenfone 6 to keep those high standards. There looks to be stereo speakers, no notch, almost no bezels, and a headphone jack. What's not to love?
