The Asus Zenfone 6 is unlikely to be revealed at MWC; billed for May launch instead
Asus revealed its mid-range and flagship duo, the Asus Zenfone 5 and 5Z, around this time last year. Up until now, there have been numerous leaks on the Zenfone 6, which may have indicated an MWC unveiling. That is unlikely to be the case, however, as new information has surfaced that touts the release of the Asus phone later in the year.
The information stems from an official preview newspaper for MWC, advertising the unveiling of the Zenfone 6 with the tagline "Defy Ordinary". The event is expected to take place in Valencia, Spain, on May 14.
Details of the Zenfone 6 flagship have been far from concrete so far. That said, we expect it to feature a Snapdragon 855, triple rear cameras, and some sort of waterdrop notch. The Zenfone 5 phones were excellent value for money offerings last year, and we expect the Zenfone 6 to pick up that mantle with style when it's released later in the year.
