Motorola offers first look at Razr 3, launching as Motorola Razr 2022
Lenovo and Motorola continue their teaser campaign in the lead-up to the launch of the latter's next foldable smartphone. As we have discussed previously, Motorola has hinted on Weibo that a next-generation Razr is close to release, likely powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1. Incidentally, the same device has leaked several times, mainly thanks to Evan Blass.
While the device was previously thought of as the Razr 3, Motorola has clarified that it will be the Motorola Razr 2022. On the one hand, Motorola has shared a teaser video on Weibo, uploaded to YouTube by Checkout Tech. As expected, the Razr 2022 has two cameras, believed to be 50 MP primary and 13 MP ultra-wide-angle sensors. Additionally, Motorola is rumoured to have included a 32 MP camera that will serve as the device's front-facing camera.
Also, the video highlights the device's cover display, which is believed to measure approximately 3-inches diagonally. Separately, Lenovo Mobile China's GM has showcased the Razr 2022 at an in-person event. Embedded below, the photos show that the Razr 2022 maintains its predecessor's hinge design, albeit without its huge chin. Allegedly, the Razr 2022 will launch in Europe for €1,149 with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
