Motorola Edge 30 Ultra: Pricing leaks for upcoming 200 MP flagship smartphone
Nils Ahrensmeier has outlined how much the Edge 30 Ultra will cost, Motorola's next flagship smartphone. First leaked in January, the Edge 30 Ultra may launch later this month in China as the Moto X30 Pro. In that vein, Motorola has started teasing the latter on Chinese social media, as we have discussed separately. Conversely, there is no mention of the Edge 30 Ultra on any of its global social media channels.
According to Ahrensmeier, the Edge 30 Ultra will launch in Europe for €899, €100 more than the Edge 30 Pro. For reference, Ahrensmeier states that this price will be for a 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage configuration, a mid-tier memory option for the Edge 30 Pro. Hence, the Edge 30 Ultra will be significantly cheaper than the iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max. Also, the Edge 30 Ultra is shaping up to be €350 cheaper than the Galaxy S22 Ultra. In fact, Ahrensmeier's leak suggests that the Edge 30 Ultra will only be as expensive as the Galaxy S22 when configured with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
Based on previous leaks and rumours, the Edge 30 Ultra will rely on the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, Qualcomm's latest flagship smartphone chipset. Additionally, the smartphone could be one of the first with the ISOCELL HP1, Samsung's 200 MP camera sensor. 125 W fast charging may be headed to the Edge 30 Ultra too, which would round off an exciting smartphone, whenever it launches outside China.
