Motorola smartphones often leak before the company actually gets around to releasing them. Case in point: Evan Blass recently shared dozens of Edge 2025 images before Motorola officially acknowledged the device’s existence. Incidentally, the company has now introduced said device in North America, full launch details of which we have covered separately.
Now, it is the turn of the Moto G56, which will soon line up alongside the Moto G Stylus 2025 (curr. $399 on Amazon) and other recent Moto G releases. This time, Motorola itself has been caught listing the device ahead of schedule. While the listing has since been taken down, it included references to a May 29 launch.
On top of that, the Motorola Slovakia listing reveals various device specifications. For example, Motorola will soon be replacing the Moto G55 with a device that combines a MediaTek Dimensity 7060 chipset with 8 GB of RAM and a 5,200 mAh battery. Aided by 30 W wired charging, the Moto G56 will also offer 32 MP front-facing and 50 MP primary cameras coupled with IP69 certification and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i glass to protect its flat display.
Currently, Motorola is expected to release the Moto G56 across North America, Africa and Asia too, rather than confining it to just Europe. However, it remains to be seen whether all these launches will occur simultaneously.
