Motorola Moto G Stylus (2023) leaks as underwhelming new mid-range smartphone
GSMArena claims to have discovered the Moto G Stylus (2023) on Geekbench, just over two weeks after @OnLeaks shared high-quality renders of the forthcoming smartphone. To recap, @OnLeaks alleged that the Moto G Stylus (2023) would contain a 50 MP primary camera, a stable of recent Moto G smartphones. Seemingly, the handset has a newer sensor than its predecessor, although it has lost the 2 MP depth camera in the process.
This year's Moto G Stylus also has a refreshed design, with slimmer bezels and a slightly rounder overall form factor. Based on the leaked Geekbench listing, it could retain its predecessor's chipset, which would be odd. While the listing does not mention the chipset by name, its ARM MT6769V codename matches with the Helio G88, a 12 nm part with a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU, plus a mix of Cortex-A55 and Cortex A75 CPU cores.
The Geekbench listing also reveals that the Moto G Stylus (2023) has 4 GB of RAM; 2 GB less than the Moto G Stylus (2022). Potentially, Motorola could offer two memory configurations this time around, but there is no guarantee that this will be the case. Neither a release date nor pricing has leaked yet. However, it is worth stressing that the listing shown below will only apply to the European version of the Moto G Stylus (2023). Typically, Motorola sells a 5G-capable model in North America with improved hardware.
