Monster Hunter Wilds free with purchase of select AMD CPUs and GPUs
AMD has announced a promotional game bundle that includes a free copy of the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds with select Ryzen CPUs and Radeon GPUs. The game will be released on February 28, but the promotion is live now till April 26. This also includes laptops that are equipped with Ryzen AI 9 300 series and AI Max series CPUs. AMD is giving away the Standard Edition of Monster Hunter Wilds which includes just the base game.
The list of eligible AMD Ryzen CPUs includes:
- AMD Ryzen 9 9950X
- AMD Ryzen 9 9900X
- AMD Ryzen 7 9700X
- AMD Ryzen 5 9600X
- AMD Ryzen 9 7950X
- AMD Ryzen 9 7900X
- AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
- AMD Ryzen 7 7700
Interestingly, none of the X3D SKUs are included in the promotion as far as desktop processors are concerned. For GPUs, the eligible products include:
- AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX
- AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT
- AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT
- AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT
Laptops powered by Ryzen processors that are eligible for the bundle include:
- Asus ROG Zephyrus G16
- Asus ROG Strix G17
- Asus ROG Strix Scar 17
- Asus ROG Flow Z13
- HP Victus 16
- MSI Alpha 17
- MSI Stealth A16 AI+
- Lenovo Legion Pro 7 16
- Lenovo Legion Pro 5 16
- Lenovo Legion Slim 5 16
- Acer Nitro 17
- Acer Nitro 16
- Acer Nitro V 16
- Acer Nitro V 14
Along with these, laptops powered by the Ryzen AI 9 300 series, Ryzen 7000HX, 7000HX3D series, Ryzen 8000 series, and Ryzen AI Max series are also part of the promotion. While most of these laptop processors are widely available, the Ryzen AI Max series is not. The ROG Flow Z13 and the HP ZBook Ultra 14 G1a featuring the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and the AI Max+ PRO 395 respectively are yet to make it to the market.
Upon purchasing an eligible device, users will be a given a coupon code either physically or electronically which then can redeem to get a free copy of Monster Hunter Wilds. The Standard Edition of the game is priced at $70 and will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/Series S, and Windows at launch, on February 28.
