While Google is yet to detail all aspects of its Wear OS reboot, Mobvoi has released a new Wear OS smartwatch. The TicWatch E3 shares many features with the TicWatch Pro 3, including a Wear 4100 SoC and 1 GB of RAM. The TicWatch E3 is US$100 cheaper than the Pro 3, though.

Mobvoi has launched the world's second smartwatch with a Snapdragon Wear 4100 SoC. The first was the TicWatch Pro 3, so Mobvoi remains the only manufacturer to adopt Qualcomm's most recent smartwatch chipset. Like the TicWatch Pro 3, the TicWatch E3 also has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage.

Additionally, Mobvoi has included a 1.3-inch IPS display that resolves at 360 x 360 pixels. The TicWatch E3 differs from the TicWatch Pro 3 in this regard, as the latter has a sharper AMOLED screen, instead. The TicWatch E3 is also smaller than its Pro-sibling with a 44 mm watch face.

The TicWatch E3 has a 380 mah battery too, along with built-in location services, support for NFC payment and a host of sensors. Moreover, Mobvoi has equipped the E3 with a speaker, a microphone, a vibration motor.

Mobvoi charges US$199.99 for the TicWatch E3, or £179.99 in the UK. The smartwatch is shipping now, albeit only in one colour. Mobvoi sells replacement straps in two colours, although the TicWatch E3 is compatible with any 20 mm strap.
