We heard quite a bit about Mobvoi's upcoming TicWatch E3 via a slew of leaks. Meanwhile, its predecessor, the TicWatch Pro 3 will soon receive a new software update (version number PMRB.210407.001) that adds a host of QoL updates and addresses some minor annoyances users have had with the wearable. The information comes via a Reddit user who seems to have received word about the software before its April 21 rollout.
TicWatch Pro 3 will no longer have to deal with accidental Google Assistant invocation while long-pressing the power button. One would assume that the functionality would be included by default, but it wasn't. Other changes are primarily cosmetic, such as a new Weather Tile, Theatre Mode, and more. Refer to the attached image to read the complete changelog.
Then again, it is a user-generated post sourced from Facebook. The official changelog will be available once the software is official. Only a handful of TicWatch Pro 3 units (10%) will get the update on April 21, though. All eligible units should have it by April 24, though. Do note that this update is only for the non-LTE version of the smartwatch.
