Minisforum presents TH60 / TH80 mini PCs with Intel Tiger Lake-H45 processors

Mini PC maker Minisforum has been mostly focusing on quite a few energy efficient AMD builds as of late, but that is not to say the Intel-based portfolio is being ignored. The company just announced two new models featuring Intel’s Tiger Lake-H45 processors that are suited for a variety of tasks including light gaming, home office, HTPC, digital signage and even mass-deployment enterprise solutions.

The new DeskMini TH60 mini PC is powered by the Intel Core i5-11400H processor with 6 cores and 12 threads. This mid-range mobile CPU can boost to 4.5 GHz, offers 12 MB of L3 cache and supports DDR4-3200 RAM. It also integrates an UHD Xe GPU that can handle competitive gaming titles.

There is also the TH80 model with an i7-11800H high-end mobile processor. This one features 8 cores and 16 threads, boost clocks of up to 4.6 GHz and 24 MB L3 cache. Both models come with a chassis that measures 18.2 x 17.7 x 3.6 cm and can be equipped with up to 64 GB of RAM, plus two NVMe SSDs via dual PCIe 4.0 M.2 slot combo.

Port selection includes a 2.5 GbE jack, Mic + Headphone and combo jacks, HDMI + DP video outputs, as well as a USB-C connector that comes with DP mode and 4x USB-A 3.2 Gen2 along with a USB-A 3.2 Gen1. Apart from the 2.5 GbE NIC, Minisforum includes a Wi-Fi + BT M.2 module.

Barebones excluding RAM and storage cost US$359 for the TH60 model and US$429 for the TH80 model. Minisforum also offers versions with up to 32 GB RAM and 512 GB storage for US$ 539 and US$619, respectively. Customers who opt for a 256 GB or 512 GB storage solution get a pre-installed Windows 11 Pro OS, as well.
