Minisforum HN14X: Mini-PC is gaming-ready thanks to a powerful dedicated Nvidia graphics card, comes with WiFi 7
Minisforum offers compact PCs of various performance classes. The range of mini-PCs with dedicated graphics cards is rather small, but the manufacturer also has these in its range. With these systems, more demanding games can be played properly.
With the HN14X, the company has now introduced a new mini-PC. It measures 396.5 x 236.4 x 32.5 millimeters and is therefore no longer very compact but also very powerful. However, as is always the case with compact systems, only tests can show whether HN14X can achieve good performance without major limitations in the long term - cooling is always an issue with mini-PCs.
The model is equipped with an Intel Core i9-14900HX, which has 24 cores and can process 32 threads. It comes with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop graphics card, that has 8 GB of GDDR6 video memory. Up to 96 gigabytes of DDR5 memory can be installed. Two slots are available for this.
The installation of two SSDs is possible. The two M.2 2280 SSDs can each be connected via four PCIe 4 lanes for high performance. Connection via Ethernet is supported, as is WiFi 7, and the BE200 module in M.2 2230 format also supports Bluetooth 5.4. HDMI 2.1 and USB 4 are available. An SD card reader is available, USB 3.2 Gen 2 and USB 3.2 Gen 1 are available. A 280-watt power supply unit is used. It is still completely unclear when and at what price the Minisforum HN14X will be available for sale in Germany. However, a global release does not seem unrealistic.
