Microsoft Surface Book 2: Bigger 15-inch model is now available in more markets
The October announcement of the second generation of Microsofts high-end detachable, the Surface Book, was surprising. Apart from an update of the original 13,5-inch Surface Book with Intel Core i 8th Gen Quad-Core CPUs and the Nvidia GeForce 1050 (which has already been reviewed by Notebookcheck), the more exciting announcement was the new 15-inch form-factor – a size formerly not covered by the Surface lineup and also the first time there is a 15-inch laptop with a screen in the modern 3:2 aspect ratio.
But this new 15-inch version was to be only available in the USA, with the rest of the world only being served the smaller version. This changes today, as Microsoft has announced the availability of the 15-inch Surface Book 2 (which includes the Nvidia GeForce 1060) in many new markets – according to Microsoft, the pre-orders start today.
This includes many European markets as well as the entire rest of the Anglosphere: Australia, Canada, New-Zealand, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Sweden, Poland, Luxembourg, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark as well as the Netherlands.
Throughout February, March and April, even more markets will follow: China, Hong Kong, India, Italy, South Korea, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand und United Arab Emirates.
