Deal | Meta Quest 3S gets a $50 discount on Amazon and Best Buy

Last year, Meta announced the Quest 3S, a cheaper mixed reality headset that replaced the Meta Quest 2, and with a starting price of $299.99. Today, the headset is available for a bit less from a handful of retailers.

The Meta Quest 3S is available in two storage variants — 128GB and 256GB — but neither has support for storage expansion. The 128GB version is priced at $299.99 while the 256GB version is $399.99. However, Amazon is offering a 13% discount on the 256GB version which brings the price down to $349.99. The Quest 3S can also be purchased on Best Buy at the same discounted price.

For anyone who has been sitting on the fence regarding the Quest 3S, the price cut should be the push you need to pick up the headset. It is also a pretty sweet deal when you consider the fact that all purchases of the Meta Quest 3S until April include a free download of Batman: Arkham Shadow and a 3-month subscription to Meta Quest+.

The Meta Quest 3S has a 1832 x 1920 resolution per eye, 90/120Hz refresh rate, and a 96° horizontal FOV. It has 8GB of RAM and is powered by the same Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor as the pricier Meta Quest 3, although Qualcomm has now released a newer chipset in the form of the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 which will make its debut in the upcoming Samsung headset due for release this year.

Its 4,324mAh battery provides up to 2.5 hours of use, a little more than the Quest 3's 2.2 hours of battery life despite having a bigger battery capacity. Meta has also added a dedicated button for switching between passthrough and immersive modes.
