While it's true that gaming hardware, especially RAM and storage, are getting more expensive by the day, the same cannot be said for the other components of a gaming setup, such as monitors. High-end and capable gaming monitors continue witnessing notable discounts every now and then, which definitely eases the burden for those who are looking to upgrade their setups. 

For instance, the LG UltraGear 39GX90SA-W OLED Gaming Monitor is now available for just under $780 on Amazon, courtesy of a 51% limited-time discount. This specific monitor sports a resolution of 3440 x 1440 and a refresh rate of 240 Hz.

At first glance, it may appear that its pixel density is quite low for a nearly $800 gaming monitor. However, for gaming, its mediocre pixel density should not be an issue. The 39-inch curved ultrawide panel sports a curvature of 800R, which allows for an incredibly immersive gaming experience. 

Another notable downside of the monitor happens to be its overall peak brightness. This is to be expected since the monitor's OLED panels simply cannot keep up with QD OLEDs of the world, which boast substantially higher brightness numbers. 

This specific monitor peaks out at just under 250 nits of peak full-screen brightness, according to PCWorld's extensive review of the product. In a 10% window, the panel can reach almost 800 nits, which helps a lot with HDR viewing. 

Being an OLED panel, contrast ratios are simply excellent, courtesy of pixel-level dimming. Color reproduction is also pretty decent, boasting 100% coverage of the sRGB and 96% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamuts, according to PCWorld's numbers. There were no major complaints regarding color accuracy either. 

The I/O on offer is as follows:
