Maono unveils PD500W AI hybrid microphone for wireless live streaming with 32-bit float audio and built-in recorder

Maono has unveiled the PD500W hybrid microphone, a new model designed for podcasting and wireless live streaming. The microphone combines wired and wireless connectivity with a built-in audio recorder for expanded versatility. It can be connected to computers and smartphones, with up to two mics streaming wirelessly to a single receiver.
The PD500W features a 32-bit-float audio recorder capable of capturing extremely loud sounds up to 147 dB SPL without clipping, according to the company. The microphone can also save a -9 dB safety track to help ensure a usable take, while recording up to 45 hours of 32-bit audio internally.

The microphone can deliver analog audio through an XLR cable to audio interfaces like the recently launched Maono P1 (sold here on Amazon), or digital audio through a USB-C cable or a 2.4 GHz wireless receiver to smartphones and computers. When connected digitally, the PD500W outputs 24-bit, 48 kHz audio.
The 2.4 GHz USB-C receiver can pair with two PD500W microphones at once, enabling simultaneous live streaming of two performers while reducing cable clutter. The microphone also supports timecode sync for multi-camera, multi-microphone shoots.

Maono's companion software helps creators produce professional-sounding audio and includes de-essers, EQs, compressors, and limiters. The software can also reduce background noise and generate AI‑powered summaries and translations of recorded speech.
The Maono PD500W will launch soon on Kickstarter, with Early Bird pricing starting at $349.
