The RTX 50-series GPUs have been plagued by supply issues and even though the GeForce RTX 5070 is expected to be available from March 5, there doesn’t seem to be any stock of it at retailers. The latest piece of confirmation comes from a prominent retailer in Sweden, Inet.se, who shared that they are not getting any stock for the GPU. The RTX 5070 launch has already been pushed back, and it looks like the RTX 5060 will suffer the same fate, though Nvidia has not shared any official information on the same.
Through a post on its news page, Inet.se shared that even though the RTX 5070 is scheduled for March 5, they will not be able to sell the card on day one as they just don’t seem to be getting any in stock. They added that they hope to start selling the GPU and computers with the GPU in the coming weeks. Currently, Inet.se has all other RTX 50-series GPUs listed on the website but they are all out of stock. Customers can use the “Notify me” option to know when they are back in stock but even then, the GPUs are expected to run out quick so not everyone will be able to get their hands on one.
On the other hand, AMD is launching the Radeon RX 9070 XT and the RX 9070 on March 6 to compete with the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 respectively. They have already undercut the competition in terms of price, and it looks like they will not be struggling with stock issues as much as Nvidia, at least on day one. Tech YouTuber Hardware Unboxed has claimed that if the Radeon RX 9070 XT is sold out after it releases, this would mean that more RX 9070 XT’s have been sold than all RTX 50-series GPUs combined. The YouTuber seems to have spoken with retailers to understand stock supplies for the AMD and Nvidia GPUs.
