Major Halo announcement reportedly set for October
Halo fans might be in for a treat this October as a major announcement seems to be planned for around Halo World Championship 2025. The information is reportedly coming from a Halo Studios (formerly 343 Industries) developer but it is somewhat vague and up to interpretation. Halo Infinite was the latest instalment in the franchise and it came out in 2021. Since then, there hasn’t been any talk of a new game.
According to a video posted by Rebs Gaming on YouTube, citing someone who spoke with a current Halo Studios developer, a major announcement is scheduled for this October. The interaction supposedly took place at the Halo Championship Series Open event in Dallas where Halo Studios was testing the upcoming Search and Destroy game mode for Halo Infinite. As mentioned earlier, Halo Infinite came out in 2021.
The YouTuber believes that this announcement will be about Halo’s future, likely the next Halo game. October is when the Halo World Championship takes place and the studio makes major announcements. The tournament will take place October 24 to October 26.
Furthermore, Rebs Gaming added that the developer also told his source that the Fall update for Halo Infinite will be big, bringing more content to the game. No further details were shared.
Notably, Summer Game Fest is scheduled for June 6 and Xbox showcase will take place on June 8. It could be that Microsoft shares some information about Halo and gives context to what this major announcement later in the year could be.
