Model: The MSI GS70-2QC is considered a powerful and stylish gaming laptop. It features a 17 inch Full HD screen with a native resolution of 1920x1080, a 5th gen Intel Core i7-4700HQ quad core processor with 8 GB of DDR3 RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M graphics card with a 2 GB GDDR5 VRAM and two 128 GB mSATA SSD's combined in RAID 0 for 237 GB of capacity; all in a 22 mm thick body, making it one of the thinnest gaming laptops around. The MSI GS70-2QC also boasts itself as one of the lightest gaming laptop by weighing in at only 2.6 kg (5.7 lb) with its body being made most of brushed aluminium, giving that gunmetal grey finish paired with smooth and curved corners.
Besides its lightness and thinness, it can also pack a punch with its Nahimic Sound Technology sound card, which has an immersive 3D sound processing, and a beautiful keyboard by Steelseries that features full color LED back-lighting, which is customizable (lights are divided into three sections, and each can be lit in a different color – or made to pulse with several different patterns). Finally, the gaming laptop also has the standard connectivity ports including a dual band WiFi card, along with four USB 3.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, an HDMI port, two Mini DisplayPorts and an SDHC card slot.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M: Upper mid-range graphics card of the GeForce GTX 900M series.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
4720HQ: Haswell-based quad-core processor clocked at 2.6 GHz with Turbo Boost support up to 3.6 GHz. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 4600 GPU and a dual channel DDR3 memory controller.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
