MIUI 12 update for the Redmi Note 9 Pro is finally around the corner
Xiaomi has sent out the MIUI 12 update to most of its phones at this point. Two phones stand out among the pack as still being stuck on MIUI 11, however—the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 9 Pro. Thankfully, dawn is about to arrive for Redmi Note 9 Pro owners.
When quizzed on Twitter about the company's plans for releasing MIUI 12 for the Redmi Note 9 Pro, Alvis Tse, General Manager of Xiaomi Indonesia and Poco, confirmed that the update would finally arrive for the device in September. This month, for those without access to calendars.
We expect the MIUI 12 update to also land on other Redmi Note 9 Pro variants this month—the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and Redmi Note 9s, for example. All the Redmi Note 9 devices with a Snapdragon 720G, to be exact. There seems to be a whole lot of them. As is typical with Xiaomi's rollout scheme, the update will first become available to beta testers, before a stable beta is released to random users, then finally a full rollout.
We'll keep you updated.
