Xiaomi has been taking its sweet time with the MIUI 12 rollout for the Snapdragon 720G-powered arm of the Redmi Note 9 family. The company began sending out MIUI 12 well over a month ago, starting with the Indian Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.
Since then, the company has also sent out similar updates to the Redmi Note 9S in India and Turkey, but a new update has now brought MIUI 12 to even more Redmi Note 9S owners. The new update bears the software designation "MIUI V12.0.1.0.QJWEUXM", denoting that it's for the European model of the Redmi Note 9S. This is, of course, a beta stable update, so it should go out randomly to owners of that device pending a full rollout that will follow shortly.
A week ago, we reported that Xiaomi was set to expand the MIUI 12 rollout for the Redmi Note 9 Pro by sending out the update to the Indonesian model of the phone. That update has now been sent out, indeed, and it bears the build number "MIUI V12.0.2.0.QJZIDXM".
