New images of the Logitech MX Master 4 have shown up online. The mouse visually distinguishes itself from its predecessor with slight design tweaks and an extra button.

An image of Logitech's upcoming MX Master 4 mouse surfaced earlier. While it highlighted a few design aspects, it left out some important bits. Now, more images have shown up on the European Union Intellectual Property Office, giving a more detailed glimpse.

The Logitech MX Master 4 keeps the core design that made the MX Master 3S and MX Master 3 a hit among power users. However, there's a third button on the side now. Exactly what it does is a mystery, but if recent tech trends are anything to go by, it is probably AI related.

On top of that, the Logitech MX Master 4 has a more pronounced cutout on the side with a clear indicator showing where its mappable button lies. Lastly, the charging/battery LED has been moved to under the scroll wheel, below the button that enables smooth scrolling.

Overall, the Logitech MX Master 4 is shaping up to be more of an incremental upgrade over the 3S and 3. One of the most common complaints among 3S users was low-quality materials, and one can only hope the Logitech MX Master 4 is made of sturdier stuff.
