Huawei released the Nova 2i back in September, with the mid-ranger offering a slightly cheaper package than that of the regular Nova 2 that was released in May. Live images of a new device have surfaced online, and we have reason to believe it may be the Nova 3.
The device doesn't actually carry the Huawei brand name in the images—there's a bold "Aurora" written across its back. Do note that "Huawei Aurora" is a brand name trademarked by Huawei, though, so this isn't as much of a mystery as it may seem. Our sources believe that this may be the Huawei P11 or the Nova 3 but we're not exactly sure which one it actually is.
On one hand, the phone in the image bears a shocking resemblance to the Nova 2. Camera placement of both devices are identical, and even the rounded edges are the same. There's also the fact that the Nova 3 has been touted to be launched on December 5, so live images this close to a launch date would be nothing out of the ordinary, whereas we've heard nothing about the P11 till date.
On the other, renders of the Nova 3 look nothing like the images on display here. And the front-facing fingerprint sensor looks exactly like what we saw on the P10.
It's all a bit baffling, really, and only time will tell.
Meanwhile, a live image of the Honor V10 has also surfaced online. We have a lot of hopes for this device, so it's good to know that it holds up in the design department.
