After having recently made available the budget-friendly NM610 series, Lexar is now ready to launch the higher-end NM700 series targeting professionals and enthusiasts. The new NVMe SSDs are notable for offering 3500 MB/s sequential read speeds across the entire stack not unlike the Kingston KC2500 or HP EX950. In comparison, the NM610 is limited to just 2100 MB/s.

Sequential write rates of the NM700 are slower at 2000 MB/s compared to 2900 MB/s each on the aforementioned Kingston and HP. To compensate, the prices on the Lexar NM700 will be noticeably lower at $80, $110, and $200 USD for the 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB options, respectively.

The NM700 series is expected to be on store shelves by June with five-year warranty as standard. More details and specifications on the drive can be found on its official product page here.
