Lenovo's 140W power bank gets a smaller capacity variant with a built-in power adapter

Last October, Lenovo began selling a power bank with a 20,000mAh battery capacity and a 140W max output in the US. Now, it has quietly released another power bank with a smaller battery capacity, but with the same 140W output.

The new power bank has appeared on the manufacturer's US website as the Lenovo Hybrid 2-in-1 Power Bank 140W (10.2K), and according to the product page, it has a 10,200mAh battery capacity (3 x 3400mAh). The power bank also features a 1.3-inch TFT display that shows the remaining battery level, running time, and temperature. There's a single physical power button on the right side.

The Lenovo Hybrid 2-in-1 Power Bank 140W (10.2K) isn't just a power bank, but also a power adapter/wall charger as it has a foldable plug on one end. This means you don't need to carry around a wall charger if you already have the power bank. The other end of the device has two USB-C ports, which double as input (24W max) and output ports.

When either port is used for input, the max power is 24W. However, when either port is used as an output port, the max power is 65W. When both ports are used simultaneously for output, the C1 port has a max output of 45W while the C2 port has a max output of 20W.

However, thanks to its hybrid technology, the USB-C1 port can reach a max output of 140W (20V 7A) in hybrid mode. For this mode, the power bank needs to be connected to a wall outlet, and then it combines the AC input with the DC power from the battery, allowing it to charge a device at up to 140W. It can also be used as just a 65W power adapter. The power bank has over voltage protection, over temperature protection, and over current protection.

The Lenovo Hybrid 2-in-1 Power Bank 140W (10.2K) supports the Lenovo 20V 7A charging protocol and Moto 125W privacy protocol. It weighs 360 grams and measures 148 × 114 × 56 mm. Lenovo ships the power bank with a 1.8m-long USB-C cable and a carrying bag.
