Introduced at CES 2024, the Yoga 9i 14 is the latest iteration of Lenovo’s high-end consumer Yoga 9 laptops. The 2-in-1 machine features the Intel Meteor Lake Core Ultra processors, a 14-inch OLED display, and a portable aluminum chassis. Courtesy of the high-end nature of the machine, the Lenovo Yoga 9i 14's starting price is normally $1,449.99 for the Core Ultra 7 155H machine with a 2.8K OLED panel. However, the laptop can now be yours for considerably cheaper.
The Lenovo Yoga 9i 14 2024 is currently retailing for only $1,099.99 at Best Buy, resulting in a discount of $350 over the list price. Unsurprisingly, such a big price cut makes the Lenovo Yoga 9i 14 Gen 9 an incredible value since the laptop got a “very good” rating of 91% in our review.
Since our Lenovo Yoga 9i 14 review unit featured the same hardware as the unit on sale, our findings will give you a clear idea of the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Fortunately, while the Lenovo Yoga 9i 14 Gen 9 does have a few shortcomings, there are no ugly aspects and the strengths far outweigh the weaknesses. We found that the laptop has an excellent 120 Hz OLED display which covers 100% DCI-P3 gamut, better graphics performance than its predecessor thanks to the Intel Arc iGPU, and 10 hours of battery life in our websurfing test.
Additionally, the notebook also managed to impress with its large trackpad, sharper webcam, and portable nature thanks to a relatively low weight of 1.35 kg (3 lbs).
Our only real gripes with the machine were the subtle moire effect on the display, the lack of an HDMI and an SD card reader, and support for only smaller M.2 2242 drives which are harder to find vs the 2280 drives.
Overall, the Lenovo Yoga 9i 14 Gen 9 is an excellent machine from almost all angles that deserves your attention.
