Deal | Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga convertible with 4K display, Core i7 and 16GB RAM on sale for 75% off MSRP

A 14-inch convertible like the ThinkPad X1 Yoga is a great choice for students who cannot or do not want to decide between a traditional clamshell laptop and a regular tablet. Although the aforementioned Lenovo notebook is usually quite expensive, budget-conscious buyers can now benefit from a mentionable deal for the ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 6 from 2021.

Specifically, the Chinese PC maker Lenovo is now selling an attractive configuration of the high-end convertible, which sports the Intel Core i7-1185G7 Tiger Lake processor and 16GB of on-board memory, for US$973. This constitutes a massive 75 percent discount relative to the ThinkPad X1 Yoga's unrealistic MSRP, but more importantly, this deal is another US$127 cheaper than a quite popular deal from two months ago. Just like last time, this version of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga laptop also comes with an extended three-year warranty and the good-looking 16:10 4K IPS display with 500 nits and full DCI-P3 coverage.

For example, we liked the convertible's high-quality input devices, good performance and the well-made chassis. Please note that this SKU with the 4K screen will have a shorter battery life than the Full-HD version that we tested. Furthermore, the Lenovo laptop does have a pretty bad webcam and does not come with an SD card reader, which might be a no-go for some users. But since many students can probably live with these rather minor weaknesses, this sale is certainly worth consideration for prospective convertible buyers with a budget of around US$1,000.
