While some prospective business laptop buyers might still prefer the conventional clamshell form factor, many others are in the market for a more versatile convertible or 2-in-1 notebook that can also be used as a tablet replacement when needed. This is where the flexible ThinkPad X1 Yoga comes into play, which is currently on sale at Lenovo for a very compelling price.
More precisely, the Chinese PC maker is currently selling the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 6 model with an Intel Core i7-1185G7 Tiger Lake CPU and 16GB of soldered LPDDR4X memory for US$1,099, which is the result of a huge discount of more than 70 percent in comparison to the official list price. According to Lenovo, this is the lowest price ever for the 14-inch business convertible, which is also equipped with the high-resolution 4K IPS display with up to 500 nits and complete coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. We've tested a slightly different configuration of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 6, but some of the findings in our in-depth review also apply to the SKU that is on sale here. For example, the laptop features a high-quality chassis and good input devices. The device also has long battery life and comes with an active pen included in the box. However, the notebook also has a fairly bad webcam and does not sport a practical SD card slot, which may be a no-go for some users. All in all, this flagship convertible is still a very well-made machine that is arguably worth the significantly discounted sale price that Lenovo is currently asking.
