Not too long ago, the first real-world picture of a new ThinkPad laptop called the "Thinkpad P1" was leaked on the platform reddit. The picture showed a notebook that looked like a mixture of the ThinkPad X1 Carbon and Dell XPS 15, potentially a new high-end 15-inch ThinkPad.
Now two new pictures have surfaced on the internet. The first picture comes directly from Lenovo's website – it was visible briefly after Lenovo updated the web-page of the ThinkPad P series. Lenovo has since taken down this updated site, but it still visible in the Google cache. The picture is a render that shows the ThinkPad P1 from the front and it showcases the thinness of the device.

The second picture originates from the German reseller Notebooksandmore.de. It comes from a listing of the new Lenovo ThinkPad Thunderbolt 3 Workstation dock – this picture shows roughly half of the front of what seems to be the ThinkPad P1 as it is connected with the docking-station. It confirms that the ThinkPad P1 is going to be charged via the proprietary ThinkPad Slim tip charging connector instead of USB C, like the even more powerful Lenovo ThinkPad P52 mobile workstation.
There still is no indication on a release date for the ThinkPad P1, but the appearance on Lenovo's own website might be a clue that an announcement could happen very soon.
