Deal | Lenovo Legion Slim 5 with Ryzen 7 and RTX 4060 crashes to new record low price

It’s now a great time to get the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 14 Gen 8. The gaming laptop with Ryzen 7 7840HS, Nvidia RTX 4060, 8 GB of RAM, and 1 TB of storage is currently available on Best Buy for $999.99, a new all-time low price. The previous all-time low tag was $1049.99, which, of course, came with 16 GB of RAM.

Nonetheless, while Lenovo already has a newer version of the gaming laptop, the Gen 9, the Gen 8 is still a great purchase, especially at this discounted price tag. When we checked it out, we gave it a respectable score of 88%. We found that the Ryzen 7 and RTX 4060 combination, with the reasonably portable form factor, makes it the most travel-friendly Legion laptop yet.

Of course, the Gen 9 does bump up the gaming performance, coming with a newer Ryzen 7 8845HS and RTX 4070. However, it scores a bit less in terms of portability when compared to the Legion Slim 5 Gen 8. But that’s a given, as the Gen 9 comes with a larger 16-inch display, while the predecessor has a 14.5-inch display.

Speaking of the display, we were impressed by the OLED panel of the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 8. It has a dense 2.8K resolution, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a full DCI-P3 coverage. The Gen 9, on the other hand, sees a downgrade in this regard. It comes with an IPS panel with a 1600p resolution.

The hinges of the gaming laptop also open to a full 180 degrees, offering the versatility to get the right viewing angle in your setup. Other highlights of the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 include MUX support, stable CPU and GPU performance, and a sleek build. You can learn more from our video review attached below.
