Lenovo is now projected to contribute to the exploding tablet market with a device so focused on gaming that it will launch as a Legion device. This brand's alleged first-gen Pad is slated to have been adapted to this use-case with an 8-inch form-factor geared towards easy grip in landscape mode while playing.
This "Legion Pad" (or, possibly, Legion Pad Pro) has popped up again in a new leak that hints at some things that could pop up when it comes to marketing this tablet's audio prowess. They consist of support for Dolby Atmos (and Dolby Vision), which may act on speakers tuned by JBL.
This is potentially apparent from branding found on the edge of something now purported to be Legion's Pad, as it has been captured in a photo allegedly taken at Lenovo's Beijing headquarters on or around December 15, 2021. Should this be the case, it seems the tablet is one for fans of metallic unibody casings with flat, machine-cut sides.
As for what might be inside this chassis, it is said to involve an Android-based OS driven by a near-flagship Snapdragon 888 processor. Then again, the "Legion Pad" has yet to attain an official confirmation or launch date at this point.
