Lenovo Ideapad L340 Gaming Review
Source: Yugatech English
Overall, the Lenovo Ideapad L340 Gaming is a good laptop for daily usage and even gaming. It’s relatively light and very much viable as a traveling companion given its compact size. The design is too simplistic to a point where you won’t stand out in front of a crowd when using it. Plus points for its Blue-colored keyboard layout that’s pretty refreshing to look at.

Finally, the Legion Y7000, Lenovo's basic gaming laptop, looks like the 15-inch will get the same processor and display options as the Y540 15, and the same GPU choices with the exception of the GTX 1050. The Y7000p is the Optane-optional model with some other slight configuration differences.

77% Lenovo IdeaPad L340 Gaming laptop review: Stiff ClickPad impacts gaming fun | Notebookcheck
Lenovo has polished the chassis of the V155 a bit and put cheap, but also game-ready hardware into the 15-inch case. The result is the IdeaPad L340 Gaming, which has a price of less than 800 Euros (~$872). Of course, there is no high-end gaming here. In our review, we will show exactly where compromises need to be made.

Lenovo Ideapad L340 (15″) review – one of many successors to the Ideapad 330
Source: Laptop Media English
Ideapad L340 (15″) is basically the successor to Ideapad 330 – a budget laptop that leaves some mixed impressions on whether it is worth it, or it is just the next cheapo. However, in 2019, Lenovo did something interesting to the Ideapad 330. It took it, and it separated it into branches. First, there is the Ideapad L340 (15″), which may be considered as the main successor to the line. Then, there is the Ideapad L340 Gaming (15″) which is basically, the Ideapad L340 (15″) on steroids, and finally, there is the Ideapad S340, which is more or less a successor to the Ideapad 330s.

Lenovo Ideapad L340 Gaming (15″) review – pick your configuration carefully
Source: Laptop Media English
All in all, we don’t think the Ideapad L340 Gaming (15″) is really that bad of a device. It just carries too much of the older Ideapad 330 with itself and is not really focused on gaming. Should they lower the price or update some of the features of this notebook, it is going to be a perfect match for gamers on a budget.

Lenovo: Lenovo ( "Le" as in the English word legend and "novo" (Latin) for new) was founded in 1984 as a Chinese computer trading company. From 2004, the company has been the largest laptop manufacturer in China and got the fourth largest manufacturer worldwide after the acquisition of IBM's PC division in 2005. In addition to desktops and notebooks, the company also produces monitors, projectors, servers, etc.

In 2011, Lenovo acquired the majority of Medion AG, a European computer hardware manufacturer. In 2014, Lenovo took over Motorola Mobility, which gave them a boost in the smartphone market.

From 2014 to 2016 Lenovo's market share in the global notebook market was 20-21%, ranking second behind HP. However, the distance decreased gradually. In the smartphone market, Lenovo did not belong to the Top 5 global manufacturers in 2016.

With these GPUs you are able to play modern and demanding games fluently at medium detail settings and HD resolution.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (Laptop): Mid range dedicated graphics card for laptops based on the desktop GTX 1650 and therefore the Turing architecture (TU117 chip in 12nm FFN) without raytracing and Tensor cores. NVIDIA GeForce MX230: Pascal (GP108) based entry-level graphics card with GDDR5 graphics memory. Only suited for less demanding games.NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 (Laptop): Mainstream graphics card based on Nvidia's Pascal architecture and successor to the GeForce GTX 960M. Is manufactured in a 14nm process at Samsung and the technical specifications are very similar to the desktop version.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Graphics Cards and the corresponding Benchmark List.
Intel Core i5:

9300H: On Coffee Lake architecture based processor for big and heavy laptops. Integrates four processor cores clocked at 2.4 - 4.1 GHz (4 GHz with 4 cores) that support HyperThreading. Manufactured in an improved 14nm process (14nm++). 8265U: Whiskey Lake based low power quad-core processor (technically identical to Kaby Lake but produced in a further improved 14nm++ process). The four cores are clocked between 1.6 and 3.9 GHz (Turbo Boost) and support HyperThreading.Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.

9750H: On Coffee Lake architecture based processor for big and heavy laptops. Integrates six processor cores clocked at 2.6 - 4.5 GHz (4 GHz with 6 cores) that support HyperThreading. Manufactured in an improved 14nm process (14nm++). 8565U: Whiskey Lake based low power quad-core processor (technically identical to Kaby Lake but produced in a further improved 14nm++ process). The four cores are clocked between 1.8 and 4.6 GHz (Turbo Boost) and support HyperThreading.

2.082 kg:

Usually subnotebooks, ultrabooks and quite lightweight laptops with 12-16 inch display-diagonal weigh as much.

88.5%: This is a good rating above average. Nevertheless you should not forget, that 10-15% of all notebook-models get a better rating.» Further information can be found in our Notebook Purchase Guide.
