Lenovo has introduced the all-new Snapdragon X-powered IdeaCentre Mini. The company says it's built to redefine compact computing, with the system blending the hardware required to handle resource-intensive tasks with a sleek 1-liter design. Said to be designed for professionals and creatives alike, Lenovo promises smooth performance in all the applications it's meant for.
As for the hardware, the IdeaCentre Mini x can be equipped with the Snapdragon X Plus or Snapdragon X processors. The company hasn't specifically mentioned which CPUs these are, but it notes there will be three options available. All of them can be paired with up to 1 TB Gen 4 SSD (2 TB Samsung 990 Evo curr. $129.99 on Amazon) and 32 GB of LPDDR5x RAM.
While the IdeaCentre Mini x is small in size, it comes with a decent selection of ports. Among the highlights are one USB 4.0, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, and one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C. For wireless connectivity, this compact PC has WiFi 7, but Lenovo hasn't confirmed whether there is Bluetooth as well.
Another big highlight is the built-in power supply. Lenovo says that it's a 150-watt PSU with 92% power efficiency. Given that the Snapdragon X series processors are relatively efficient, this should be more than enough to push the PC to the limit. For cooling, there's a dual-fan setup.
The company says that this cooling setup ensures cool and quiet operation. Other notable highlights of the IdeaCentre Mini x include compatibility with the Copilot+ PC program, upgradeable design, and a sleek Luna Grey colorway. It will be available from April 2025 with a starting price of $659.99.
