Leak reveals Galaxy SmartTag 3 in high-quality images

Leaked marketing renders published by WinFuture provide the clearest look yet at Samsung's Galaxy SmartTag 3, showing a significant departure from the pill-shaped SmartTag 2. Appearing in black and white, the tracker has a rounded-square "squircle" shape reminiscent of Samsung's smartwatches, with a metal-accented front and a fully plastic rear panel. Notably, the built-in loop for attaching keyrings or straps is gone, with Samsung instead offering a separate case fitted with a carabiner clip.

FCC filings confirm that the device supports both Bluetooth LE and Ultra-Wideband for precise short-range tracking, and point to dimensions of roughly 30 x 30mm and under 10mm thick. Samsung is also reportedly preparing official bumper, silicone, and leather cases, alongside a pet-collar mount developed with accessory maker Spigen.

The SmartTag 3 is expected to launch in early October, although Samsung has not officially announced the product or confirmed a release date. Reports suggest a single unit will cost around $30 in the US and €28 in Europe, with a four-pack priced near $100 or €93.
