Leak: Fairphone 6+ appears in promo video, spec sheet reveals two upgrades

A retailer has hinted at a price of €649 in Europe, €100 more than the Fairphone 6 ($701 on Amazon). The design remains largely unchanged; Fairphone is primarily expected to offer a new variant in dark blue. One of the images shows that the Fairphone 6+ has a modular design just like the Fairphone 6, making it relatively easy to replace the battery, cameras, USB-C port, and even the display.

The Fairphone 6+ primarily features two hardware upgrades. First, Fairphone is replacing the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. Although the chip is nearly two years newer, it relies on four ARM Cortex-A720 performance cores and four Cortex-A520 efficiency cores, just like its predecessor. However, performance is at least slightly better due to higher clock speeds. And second, the Fairphone 6+ is expected to have 12 GB of RAM instead of just 8 GB.
 

According to the leaked spec sheet, the rest of the features remain unchanged. The Fairphone 6+ reportedly features a 6.31-inch P-OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a removable 4,415 mAh battery with 30-watt fast charging, a 50 MP f/1.88 main camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor, a 13 MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 32 MP f/2.0 selfie camera. The exact launch date of the Fairphone 6+ is not yet known.
