Leak reveals affordable, waterproof Vivo smartphone with 7,200 mAh battery

The Vivo Y31 and Vivo Y31 Pro were launched last September, followed by the Vivo Y31e 5G. Now, Vivo is reportedly planning another model in the series, which is set to be marketed under the name Vivo Y31T. Xpertpick has already published an initial product image and details about the specifications of this next-generation mid-range smartphone.
According to the report, Vivo is sticking with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 found in the Vivo Y31. The 4-nm ARM chip, released in 2023, features two Cortex-A78 performance cores and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. Vivo is expected to pair the chip with 4 GB to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB to 256 GB of flash storage. Vivo appears to be continuing to cut costs on the display, opting for a 6.75-inch IPS panel with 720p+ resolution and a peak brightness of 1,250 nits. This affordable mid-range smartphone features an 8-megapixel selfie camera, a 50-megapixel main camera, and a 2-megapixel sensor.
The standout feature appears to be the battery, which has a capacity of 7,200 mAh and can be charged via USB-C at up to 44 watts. The 8.39-millimeter-thick body is IP68-certified and therefore waterproof. The Vivo Y31T is reportedly set to launch first in India and will be available in green, red, or gold. Details about a possible international launch are not yet known, but with the Vivo Y31e 5G, at least one model in the series is also available in other regions, including Europe.
