Leak: Apple plans launch event on October 27 for four products

Apple only recently officially confirmed that a launch event focused on smart home products will take place on Tuesday, October 13. After Bloomberg correctly revealed this launch date in advance, Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman now reports that the next launch is already set to take place two weeks later.
Apple is reportedly planning a launch event on or around October 27 that includes both an online presentation for customers and a hands-on area for members of the press. At least four new products are expected at this event. First, an Apple iMac ($1,359 on Amazon) with Apple M6. Second, a 14-inch MacBook Pro that retains the current model's design and also receives an upgrade to the Apple M6. Third, a new iPad mini with an OLED display. And fourth, arguably the most exciting new product – a 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with a completely new design and OLED touchscreen.
This next-generation MacBook Pro is rumored to bring three major improvements in particular: a Dynamic Island instead of the notch, a higher-quality OLED panel that serves as a touchscreen for the first time in Mac history, and a significantly lighter, albeit barely thinner, chassis. What is disappointing, however, is that the Apple M5 Pro and M5 Max will reportedly continue to be used, as Apple is allegedly skipping the M6 Pro and M6 Max and will not bring faster ARM chips to market again until the M7 series.
