Given its price point the R450 is excellent value-for-money considering you get a very usable everyday notebook that leaves slightly cheaper netbooks in the dust.

SIS Mirage 3 671MX: Onboard (shared memory) graphics card on the SIS 671MX chipset. No Vista Premium (Aero) support. Not usable for 3D games.
These graphics cards are not suited for Windows 3D games. Office and Internet surfing however is possible.
Intel Pentium Dual Core: The return of the name Pentium, though it is a Yonah core. In fact, it is a double Core processor with a very good relation of performance to current consumption.
Entry to middle class dual core CPU with 1 MB level 2 cache and no virtualization technology. Compared to the Core 2 Duo line, some power saving mechanism are deactivated.

In former years, this weight was representative for laptops with a 14-16 inch display-diagonal. Nowadays, 17 inch laptops weigh less than that.

LG is an international laptop manufacturer of medium size with few reviews.
After a few years, LG largely withdrew from the laptop sector. In the smartphone segment, LG is a medium-sized manufacturer (not among the Top 5 in 2015 and 2016).
