Kiwi Ears Coda USB-C DAC adds web-based EQ, balanced headphone output, and 32-bit 384kHz PCM decoding

The Kiwi Ears Coda USB-C DAC has debuted with support for balanced headphones, high-resolution 32-bit, 384 kHz PCM audio stream decoding, and an aluminum body. The DAC is compatible with smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
The Coda USB-C DAC is designed to be a petite audio decoder for smartphones, with an aluminum alloy body that weighs just 10 grams (0.35 oz.) and measures 30.9 x 14.7 x 11.5 mm (1.22 x 0.58 x 0.45 in.) The USB-C male connector increases the length from 14.7 mm to about 21.4 mm (0.84 in.).
Inside, the DAC supports outputting high-resolution audio to 3.5 mm unbalanced and 4.4 mm balanced headphones, with a THD+N under 0.003% and a SNR over 114 dB. The design goal was to create a DAC that could reproduce music with an accurate yet wide soundstage while preserving subtle audio details, according to Kiwi Ears. Both jacks output up to 30 mW of power at 32 Ω.
To keep the design and installation simple, there are no drivers required and no software needed to adjust its settings. Instead, all audio adjustments are made through the Kiwi Ears Equalizer website using a 5-band equalizer, with the ability to save presets.
The Kiwi Ears Coda USB-C DAC has an MSRP of $29.99, and it is available for purchase from the company website as well as Amazon.
